The textures also need to be their own file. The tools you mentioned before are probably your very best bet because it looks like for example: If you want a different body or head you'll need to export them separately. because they are combined into one file, while the player is not (obviously for customization reasons) the player looks to many files. I did some research from the time I last posted and it looks like nothing else in the game will swap over with the player, especially villagers. So if anyone knows the more technical aspects that would help! Normally when I Work on a project I'm just handed the tools and told to do things a certain way and the tech team does the rest, hahaha. I hope I can possibly make things more interesting again. CIA as there is no way to easily verify the file isn't corrupt. That's a shame! I guess I'm way too late.

For testing purposes, don't download an already converted or dumped. 3DS rom → CRC SHA → CRC-32 when comparing your copy against those listed scene releases. Type in 00040000000 86200 or 0004000000 198D00 in the upper right search bar at to look up the CRC-32 hash records of known good dumps. Do this to figure out if the 3DS system crashes due to an software problem with the 3DS+CFW firmware(s) or possibly a hardware problem with the motherboard. Don't borrow or use any files from the main SD card. CIA in FBI, enable game patching & the necessary luma locale emulation, and check if the game still crashes. On a different SD card repeat steps 1-3 to make sure this second card is a good one, build a basic test setup (Luma3DS, Homebrew Launcher, FBI, GodMode9), download a scene release. Full Write + Verify the empty card in H2testw.

Copy everything off the SD card to a computer.Check if your SD card is fake, faulty, or dying.
